Born and raised in Cairns, Australia, emerging artist Dee Lunar has always been obsessed with music and art. Influenced by 90’s alternative rock, modern dream pop/rock and Indie rock, merging theses genres to create quirky, raw unique music. Throughout her childhood and teens she filled countless journals with poetry with honest expression and emotion, finally 10 years ago picking up guitar and writing her first song aptly named “Fearless and Free” since then she has never looked back .
Blue Bird is a song about love and longing. Here is what Dee Lunar had to say about Blue Bird. “when I was a little girl my Dad gifted me with a blue bird jewellery set and told me a story of how in old times sailors would get blue bird tattoos for protection on their long journeys, Blue Bird tells the story of a woman waiting for her lover to return, asking the blue bird to protect him and guide him home”.
