IR: Let’s get to know a little bit more about you and how you grew up. So where do you consider hometown and what type of kid were you growing up?
YR: My hometown is Washington, DC. Born and raised there.
IR: How old were you when you developed an interest in music?
YR: I was a teen in high school. (15)
IR: What was the first album you ever listened to? Can you remember back that far?
YR: My first album I ever listened to was the “Blueprint” by JayZ.
IR: When and how did you begin your journey in the world of music?
YR: I started doing music at the age of 15. I started out by going to open mic’s, rapping at the lunch tables at my school, going out to local malls passing out my cd’s, flyers, and etc.
IR: What influences shaped your musical style?
YR: My music influences are JayZ, Fabolous, DMX, & of course Soulja Boy. I respect and look up to all these artists because of there talent, hard work, and dedication.
IR: How would you describe your sound to someone who has never heard it before?
YR: I would describe my music sound as a down south flow. Nice beats with great lyrics. Trying everyday to be great and come up with something new that people like and can grasp too.
IR: Do you write a lot by yourself or do you have a partner or a group of people you work with?
YR: I write all my lyrics, but wouldn’t mind to work with different songwriters as well.
IR: What is your main goal at this point?
YR: My main goal at this point is to get signed by a major record label or a good independent label deal.
IR: Have you learned any lessons so far and if so, what are they?
YR: The lessons I’ve learned since doing music is that you must always work hard, have a plan, and stick too it. Always stay focused.
IR: Are there any artists you wish to work with in the future?
YR: The artists that I would want to work with in the future are Soulja Boy, Migos, Rick Ross, & Fabolous.
IR: If you could create your dream tour, who would be a part of it?
YR: My dream tour would consist of Soulja Boy, Nicki Minaj, Fabolous, Drake, Rick Ross, & Migos.

IR: We ask all the artists we interview, what’s the best piece of advice someone’s ever given to you?
YR: The best music advice I’ve gotten thus far is to stay focused, market/brand yourself well, and use social media as an advantage. Get your music out there at all costs.
