Check out our interview with John..
IR: Let’s get to know a little bit more about you and how you grew up. So where do you consider hometown and what type of kid were you growing up?
JL: I was born Brooklyn New York and spent some time down in South Florida, but Brooklyn is my hometown
IR: How old were you when you developed an interest in music?
JL: I started with music in general at the age of 7. I played my first event at the age of 13, so I guess since then “Haha”.
IR: What was the first album you ever listened to? Can you remember back that far?
JL: It was a Michael Jackson album “History”
IR: What inspires your song choices?
JL: I play to the crowd thats in front of me their energy has a lot to do with where my selections come from.
IR: What makes you different?
JL: I feel that due to the fact Ive been around so many different elements of music, that when I play to a specific crowd, I can introduce them to something they never heard before. I’m not afraid to take chances on the set. I feel most DJs try to play it safe but there’s no fun in that.
IR: Do you write a lot by yourself or do you have a partner or a group of people you work with?
JL: So far every things I’ve done is Solo, but I look forward to working with other talented Producers & Dj’s
IR: What is your main goal at this point?
JL: My main goal is to stay consistent, gain more experience as a producer and hopefully more bookings
IR: Have you learned any lessons so far and if so, what are they?
JL: I’ve learned a lot some really good and some bad the most important is probably “Not everything is what it seems”
IR: Are there any artists you wish to work with in the future?
JL: Tons I think at this point in time a lot of new creative minds are coming up specially with all the cross genre music happening. I couldn’t possibly name 1
IR: If you could create your dream tour, who would be a part of it?
JL: Haha umm this is a good question I would have to say Sunnery James & Ryan Marshiano,Hardwell and Firebeatz. I could add more but that would be my top 3
IR: Where can we find your music? Online and offline?
