IR: Let’s get to know a little bit more about you and how you grew up. So
where do you consider hometown and what type of kid were you growing
Syzl: Cincinnati, OH is hometown to me. Growing up I was a self motivated kid. I was a Go-Getter. Still am, which is why I’m still here today.
IR: How old were you when you developed an interest in music?
Syzl: I started out singing in the Church choir, so around the age of 10 I developed my in interest in music & also instruments.
IR: What was the first album you ever listened to? Can you remember back?
Syzl: The first album I ever had was Destiny’s Child “The Writings On The Wall.”
IR: When and how did you begin your journey in the world of music?
Syzl: I began my music journey at the age of 18. That’s when I actually started rapping. I was a Senior in high school, I had started going to clubs. So it played out well, lol. That’s when I decided music was something I wanted to do.
IR: What influences shaped your musical style?
Syzl: A lot of old school music such as the 70’s 80’s & 90’s shaped my musical style. Also a lot of soul music, because they sing from the heart. Any music with Bass, that’s something I love to feel.
IR: How would you describe your sound to someone who has never heard it?
Syzl: I would describe my musical style as Fun, Real, Epic, my thoughts on a beat, Me just being Me.
IR: Do you write a lot by yourself or do you have a partner or a group of people you work with?
Syzl: When I write its just The Beat, my thoughts, & I. I don’t write with a team or group.
IR: What is your main goal at this point?
Syzl: My main goal at this point is to be a Successful Artist. This is my dream, its my career, & I WILL MAKE IT COME ALIVE.
IR: If you could create your dream tour, who would be a part of it?
Syzl: My dream tour would be Beyonce, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, & Myself.
IR: We ask all the artists we interview, what’s the best piece of advice someone’s ever given to you?
Syzl: The greatest advice I was told was that, “This is my life, do what I need to do to make it the Shiznitz! I’m the boss of my Success!”
