Robin Thickes ‘Blurred Lines’ has passed a million sales in the UK.
The global hit is the 137th track to do so in British music history after spending a fifth non-consecutive week atop the UK singles chart this past weekend.
The achievement marks the second track Pharrell Williams has been involved with to pass a million sales within a month of each other, following the success of Daft Punk’s ‘Get Lucky’.
“I’m humbled by all of the love the UK fans have shown,” Williams told the Official Charts Company of his double whammy.
“But, when you are working with incredible talent like The Robots and Robin, great things are bound to happen.”
‘Blurred Lines’ has been lifted from Thicke’s new album of the same name, which is currently on course to hit number one in the UK this weekend.
